Founded in 1982 The Brain Injury Association of Georgia (BIAG) is the only non-profit organization in the state of Georgia available as a statewide resource for those who have suffered a concussion or brain injury. BIAG offers Hope, Help, and Support to those who are seeking community services and resources specific to their needs, brain injury education, and guidance on how to handle the life-altering effects of a brain injury. A key and historical part of BIAG’s outreach and therapy services include our programs ranging from Information and Resource which include 1:1 consultation with a Certified Brain Injury Specialist; Camp BIAG the only recreational and therapeutic camp for adults; Support Groups in Savannah and statewide, who are the backbone to BIAG, offering a safe and nurturing environment and regional mini conferences for caregivers, survivors and health care professionals who serve them.
Grey Matters Support Group is our local brain injury support group affiliated with BIAG. The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 5-6 pm at The Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah, located at 6510 Seawright Drive, Savannah. Our mission is to provide support, resources and fellowship to brain injury survivors and their caregivers. The group is facilitated by rehab therapists who are Certified Brain Injury Specialists.
